Just an outfit post for today, I'm trying to bask in as much sunlight as humanly possible and the laptop has a tendency of restricting me!

In other news

Well, today has been decidedly better than yesterday, which isn't saying a great deal, but it has been genuinely enjoyable. Perhaps due to the fact the sun appeared for albeit brief amounts of time and the fact I enjoyed a starbucks mocha at lunch. Mhm, I do hope the week continues to improve along with the weather.

In other news, here are the things I could quite like to own but lack sufficient funds. I had a quick look around the 'Alexa Chung for Madewell' collection and gosh, whilst thinking how lovely (though pricey) all the items were, I couldn't help thinking how much I want to be Alexa Chung. Though I guess perfection isn't everything. Of course not ;)

You know those days where nothing notably terrible happens that's worthy of getting upset about, but lots of little things just seem to build up? Well today has definitely been one of those days. Eugh, anyway, best not to worry myself over such things, positivity is the way forward, aha. I don't own a lot of green clothing, due to the fact I find it difficult to find things to match which is a shame. I also need to buy some more peter-pan-collared items speaking of which, a one way ticket to Neverland would be wonderful right about now.

This weekend hasn't been the most exciting but it's been a weekend all the same = limited amount of movement, activity in general. Anyway, apparently, this week we're going to supposedly be blessed with lovely warm weather so hopefully a final opportunity to bring out the shades and sandals. This isn't exactly summer attire but it's not exactly arctic gear either. I love blazers and even though this one was from Primarni, I'm still rather fond of it as it has a tendency to go with so many things. Formality forever.

I have genuinely never been happier to reach the end of a week, for some reason I've been almost a member of the walking dead since about Wednesday. Apart from that, college has been reasonably good, lessons I like, people I like, all is well. I occasionally get odd looks from my clothing choices, but I guess it's better to look absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring. This outfit however, isn't majorly eccentric but I rather like the t shirt, although my awful camera does it no justice.Anyway, I shall hopefully be back to regular posting  now educational arrangements are reasonably sorted :)

Well hello, I haven't posted in a while due to the fact I've actually been doing work and I don't mean cram-into-free-period-common-room-because-I-didn't-do-it-last-night, I mean genuinely coming home, doing the essay whilst I have a week until it's due in. Crazy, I know. Anyway, I shall post some more clothes soon but until then, have my wishlist.

the bittersweet between my teeth

dress - New Look

It's so wonderful going to sixth form and doing subjects I actually ENJOY. I didn't realise how daunting I actually found the sciences until I've stopped doing them. I whole heartedly recommend doing subjects you're enthusiastic about as oppose to the ones you think will make you look intelligent.

Anyway, the weather wasn't quite suitable for dresses today, but I dug this out of my wardrobe yesterday. Unfortunately it's doubtful I'll have an occasion to wear it anytime soon, so I shall simply enforce a black tie dress code within my own home. Any excuse for a bit of formality.

Also, this is a brilliant song.

Zara

All beautiful and simplistic and from Zara.

I love Zara. I love how the shop is laid out so cleanly and elegantly and how I feel like I'm the set of Ugly Betty. I love how I can kid myself the clothes are basically designer. I love the fact that not many people I know shop there so I don't end up looking like a clone. I love how it doesn't make me empty my pockets to a massive extent.

This weekend has been rather nice though has gone impossibly fast, I swear it was Friday five minutes ago. Travelled by train to Warwick today to do some acting related thing for a short film that's being put on youtube  (my Oscar awaits). Gosh I spend half my life on trains but it feels so much longer when you're sat on the floor, bashing your head into a suitcase at every turn. Clothing was an afterthought and we had to change outfits in a conveniently close Costa and when that closed, a local pub. More strange looks than usual, and that's saying something.

I also can't believe it's been an entire decade since the tragic 9/11 attacks. Being seven years old and not quite being able to comprehend the exact term of events but understanding the incredibly devastating effect it seemed to impact upon everything. I can't imagine what it would have been like to have have lost someone and to reflect back every day and not just this one.

Well, this week has gone surprisingly well, considering I was dreading it so much. The subjects I've taken, I actually quite like, though I suppose there's not a lot that could be worse than double chemistry on a Monday morning. I can only hope this motivation that I seem to have located decides to stick around so I have hope of getting some UCAS points. Anyway, it may have only been four days but I'm exhausted, and a two day siesta sounds like a wonderful idea.

I didn't post yesterday, purely for the reason I desperately want to get the year off to a good start to have a chance of gaining a levels and managing to get a place at university. Anyway, here is my wishlist.
I can't believe autumn is nearly here, but I have to admit it's definitely my favourite season - clothes wise. Nice chunky jumpers in maroons and navy and brogues and boots - perfect.

Today has certainly been one of the busier ones. I've actually just had one of those surreal moments of waking up after a 2 hour sleep during the day and not quite remembering where I am. Anyway, college started back today and I think I've just about figured out what I'm doing after a lengthy chat with about 5 members of staff. The rest of the day was spent investigating the ~*~all singing all dancing~*~ new building which the school have spent a lottery winners amount of earnings on. We were given details of  a fancy new starbucks, and had images of plush leather seating, wooden panelling, maybe even a quirky staff member or two, but alas, we were greeted with a couple of tables and chairs and a single coffee machine. Ah well, at least there's nothing to distract me from my studies. All the lovely new Year 12's shall be in tomorrow, inevitably dressed in ball gowns and tiaras which shall be enjoyable to watch. Might rope a few friends in and get dressed up myself ;)

I'm actually dreading college so terribly tomorrow. Just about everyone I know is 'dead excited lol!!!1!!' to go back, but I could really do with a couple more months off. Not that they'd be spent doing anything productive, I just don't want my reasoning for getting up in the morning to be double English. Ah well.

you have always worn your flaws upon your sleeve

shirt - New Look

This is from a couple of nights ago when I ventured out (yes I actually have friends!) to the cinema and for a meal afterwards. We saw 'one day' which, bar Anne Hathaway's English accent, was rather good. We then decided against a proper meal as we had all feasted on popcorn during the film, so we splashed out and went to burger king.
It's weird because this summer I haven't spent a great deal of time with even my closest of friends and seeing them was a really nice end to the holidays and reminded me how much I missed spending time with them. I desperately need to find myself more a social life.

Nothing majorly special this morning, hence the rather simplistic outfit. I'm in two minds about the jumper, but I love the bow detailing and think it might have just won me round. I can't quite believe I have college on Tuesday, and I STILL haven't sorted out my plan of action. I'm ridiculously indecisive and am going to have to rely on the head of our sixth form to decide what I'm going to do with my life. Until then, blogging it is!

Also, I find it so brilliant when you discover a new band or song and you love it instantly. If the title of this outfit is somewhat curious, here is the explanation!

cross my heart

Well basically, I ordered some iron-on transfers a couple of days ago and they arrived in the post this morning and couldn't really wait to see if they worked. I chose crosses mainly because I'd seen a couple of tops similiar to this (in the likes of Topshop) which I liked and being the cheapskate I am thought I needn't pay £18 for one. The transfers which can be found here were only £5.50 for both including delivery, which was pretty good, and the top was just £4 from Primark. Anyway, it turned out better than I had anticipated (Y)

Today I had opted for my infamous 'funeral chic' style with my black lace top and black skirt and black shoes as I thought it was going to be cold and dull as per usual. But, as the sun appeared I felt it appropriate that I put on this mustard cardigan as oppose to my black blazer to be in keeping with the weather. Makes me look a tad more cheerful (an emotion I appear to be lacking on the picture ;)
On another note, I can't believe it's September already, this year has just gone impossibly fast. I still need to work out what on earth I'm doing with my a levels, I think I might need to actually try and work this year. Certainly not looking forward to that.
