I'm gonna paint you by numbers

Nice trip to Chester today, despite it being rather chilly. Managed to find a black skirt in the H&M sale and a pair of skinnies from Primark. Spent far too long in Zara pondering over whether to buy a speckled jumper reduced to £15 from £50, but finally decided against it (a decision I shall probably live to regret..). Anyway, there's more to life than clothes, or so I am told ;)

Midnight in Paris

Well, today was finally showtime so, I donned my finest 'detective' gear and crazily enough, managed to just about remember my lines.
Anyway, when I returned home, I was greeted with this wig I'd purchased from eBay for a charity day at school. Me and a couple of other lovely people have decided to go as silent movie stars hence the wig. We are yet to buy dresses, gloves, head dresses and black lipstick, but if you know any places that sell these items (cheaply) do inform me.
Whilst searching for 1920s inspiration, I was greeted with some wonderful images of 'Midnight in Paris' a film which I highly recommend by the way and thought I should share some.

the kooples

If you haven't already, I highly recommend you go and look at the kooples. Their collection is utterly beautiful and so simple which is what I enjoy most. There is a sale at the moment, although everything is still light years out of my price range, its still definitely worth a look for inspirational purposes (the look book is exquisite.) Anyway, that's all for now folks.

My trip outward has been postponed due to grim weather conditions and I for one am quite pleased. It has been a day where I was quite happy to sit in front of the fire for endless amounts of time, with a half finished english essay and a cup of sugary tea. It's a shame weekends, even when spent doing nothing, go by so quickly.
On another note, I have a size 8 red silk shirt that I am selling here, so do have a look!

Today has been spent rehearsing for a play I'm in next weekend, playing a detective (next stop: the 'Oscars')  which I still need to buy a trench coat for. If anyone has a spare, do let me know ;) Tomorrow, I believe I'm venturing out with a friend armed with a camera and let loose where all the ~~indie kids~~ go and take photos. Should be intriguing, and hopefully I can share the results.

My day has consisted of: a broken umbrella, a cow in a canal, sabotaged english essays and a very obscure illustration of a fajita.

I am guilty of having not posted in a while, I promise I'll update more often in future! I would say this is due to working more productively but it really isn't, my motivation really seems to have gone elsewhere which is a shame. Hopefully it's planning on making a return trip.
I find it odd that the weather has turned frosty once more, and I am permitted to wearing multiple layers + gloves + scarf. I also seem to have permanently adopted the first symptoms of a cold and in attempt to cure this have consumed much lemon lemsip. However, I think I have actually grown to like it as oppose to it remedy-ing my illness. Not as good as calpol though.

I was also going to do a wish list, but to be honest, I'd be better off directing you here.
*sigh*

Undecided if I like this top or not but I couldn't resist it for £3.50. Charity shops really are excellent if you lack disposable income like myself (if anyone could employ me, I'd be eternally grateful), you can find surprising things, even if you have to rummage a little.
I hope everyone's weekends are going better than my grim work filled one even if it is freezing.

Despite this week being three days long, I somehow feel doubly exhausted. Ah well, I can get some satisfaction from the fact tomorrow is Saturday and I can spend the evening watching wonderful mindless television.

I do hope everyone had a lovely evening last night, hopefully alcohol filled! Happy 2012, here's to hoping it's going to live up to mass expectation.
Nothing to start the new year like a shopping trip, so my January the 2nd will be spent dragging my mother around the Trafford Centre, fingers crossed I can find some lovely sale purchases (even though they have no Primark there;)
