Sing me to sleep

shirt - ebay
bag, jumper & jeans - Primark
wedges - Tesco

(^The origin of my clothes clearly dictate I'm a student :')

Apologies for my recent lack of posts, this week has been plagued with work, alongside the lighting not being particularly good for taking outfit photos. The weather is a tricky thing to work out at the moment, I am never sure whether a jumper alone is too little but then with a coat it's too much? Ah well, I shall live and learn.
Yesterday was spent at an open day in Manchester for an intensive three-month graphic design course. The reason I am put off by the concept of university is the fact that the timetable is so disjointed, with days probably being spent eating jaffa cakes in my room rather than studying. This would however, have a rigourous routine which I am in such desperate need of in order for me to actually work (plus it looks amazing).
Well, I guess I've got a bit of time to make some potentially life changing decisions. Yep, plenty..

I also highly reccommend a look at snailmailmyemail. Basically, it was a project launched last year for volunteers to hand write and mail out people's emails, in order to encourage the art of physically sending letters. I volunteered, and thoroughly enjoyed writing and illustrating lovely messages for people (you can see the photos here!) Anyway, it's running for a week (Nov. 12 - 18) to celebrate the launch of a book, so if you would like a stranger to hand write a letter to a friend or family member, get typing!

Anyway, please forgive me for typing out my life story and have just a little Tumblr inspiration to finish with:

I will wait, I will wait for you

cardigan, bag, shoes - Primark
shirt - Jack Wills
dress - American Apparel

The weather certainly has a more bitter chill in the air and I even had to dig out my coat yesterday to brave a trip to costa. The clocks thankfully went back an hour today which apparently means mornings will be lighter although the skies are unfortunately remaining pretty grey (extra hour asleep was pleasant however).
I realise this outfit probably isn't sensible when taking the temperature into account, but I thought the colours looked pretty autumnal. Can't get enough of the knee high socks either, apologies for them being a constant feature of outfit posts.
Sixth form restarts tomorrow which I am trying to remain positive about and hastily skimming through some text books to get my mind back into some form of working order (I near enough forget how to write when I'm not at school). I am then cheerily off to London on Wednesday to see some people who managed to gain a place at university for Halloween, I am imagining myself being abandoned on the tube donning some ridiculous outfit (advanced warning as I imagine pictures will appear in a future post).

Until then, some inspiration from tumblr and weheartit:

Finally, some fabulous Halloween costumes c/o Lookbook:

back of your neck

shirt - ebay
cardigan - ebay
jeans & shoes - Primark
bag - vintage

Time out of prison sixth form so far has been rather pleasant. Unfortunately my half term doesn't overlap with my boyfriends due to my school being so backwards, so he spent the weekend here instead, bringing this rather lovely bag (being the girl who took both English subjects he found it hilariously appropriate).

He is ridiculously more organised than myself and having already sent off his completed UCAS, made me feel a little inadequate having not even chosen a course. This caused me to suffer a ""minor"" breakdown/breakthrough and have now decided upon a course in English and Theatre Studies, write my personal statement and complete my English homework. Good times.

In other news, there's still a little time to enter my giveaway to win a copy of Dark Shadows on DVD, a skull bracelet and some Halloween sweets!

Some rather pretty pictures c/o Tumblr and weheartit to finish:
