Five looks, one blazer

I absolutely love a good blazer. Since I was first introduced to them in high school where that excess of pockets was my best friend (yes mum that lipgloss is essential), to the one I bought on depop last year as a Christmas gift to myself, the humble blazer has been an absolute staple in my wardrobe, through and through.

So a post solely dedicated to this particular piece of outerwear has been a long time coming. Here I've compiled five of my fave ways to wear.

Are you an avid blazer wearer? Which look would you wear?

Why should you go charity shopping?

blazer - Oxfam Bold Street
top - Primark
jeans - H&M
boots & bag - ebay
necklaces - Neck on the Line

My first charity shopping experience was during a rainy lunch hour in Sixth Form. I'd become firm friends with a girl who was several ranks above me in the style stakes and who always blew me away with her outfit choices. You know that person in your friendship group that just has a knack of putting the best outfits together? That was her.

Naturally I had to know where all of these amazing pieces were coming from; from the vintage silk shirt to the oh-so-gorgeous western boots, I longed to discover how I too could create a wardrobe which would match the likes of hers.

The simple answer? Charity shopping. Since then I am yet to look back.

As well as enabling me to find completely original pieces for a fraction of the price, opting for vintage items promotes sustainability and, in the long term, is of course much better for the planet.
Did I mention you can find genuine designer items for literally under £10? Harvey Nicks eat your heart out.

Have you tried charity shopping?

Suit up

blazer - Vintage
bodysuit - Boohoo
jeans - H&M
shoes - Primark
earrings - eBay
necklace - Cinco

suit - Topshop c/o Depop
bralet - Boohoo
shoes - Lightinthebox

Blazers are not a new thing for me.

Ever since I can remember, the structured shoulders, the sharp silhouette and not to forget the real life functioning pockets (!!!) have always appealed to me. Even when it was worn on the playground and emblazoned with a bright red logo.

Regardless of the occasion, the simple addition of a blazer draped over anything from a graphic t shirt to a rollneck can make it look like you've made an effort - even when you really haven't.

Take a peek below to see some of my favourite blazer looks:

Blazer it

blazer, crop & jeans - Primark
shoes - The Rainbow Club
hat - Missguided
necklace - bwills on depop

I think blazers are underrated, in my wardrobe anyway. I'd forgotten how effortlessly easy it was to smarten up any outfit in seconds, or retain that ''look I actually made an effort' without actually making any effort' aesthetic. I saw this one looking forlorn in the sale section of Primark a few weeks ago, and although having my mum in mind upon purchase, actually quite fancy it myself.
Now to further embellish my blazer collection, a few of my favourites from StyleMoi - every day shall be a blazer day..

Which one's your favourite?

Your protector

crop - ebay
blazer - H&M
jeans & necklace - Primark
boots - ebay

High waisted jeans and a crop are becoming my first choice of attire for an eve out. I feel like it's the easier and more comfortable option, for me anyway, despite sometimes looking rather formal.
Also super impressed by this £3 (!) Primark necklace - they had some gold variations so will have to check those out asap.

What are your night-out-outfit preferences?

P.S. Am also selling these cute silver nail rings on my depop and ebay so check them out if you fancy :)
