It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

I think I actually prefer the build up to Christmas than the big day itself.

Whether it's being stuck in a crowded coffee shop waiting for the rain to pass, or last-minute festive jumper buying for the charity day at work, the days leading up to the 25th always seem a little more special; that may be the extra prosecco talking, but it's hard to tell.

For me, these photos capture that festive whirlwind which December seems to wrap everything up in. The lights, the laughter and the mince pies. Horribly cliché, but I certainly think it's worth taking that occasional moment to just step back and take it all in, as after all, sometimes it can be tricky to see beyond the excessive buying, and actually remember what this season is really all about.

Are you looking forward to Christmas?

Well Dressed

One small downside of my life is the lack of occasions I get to wear fancy dresses to.
The upside is, this realisation still hasn't quite dawned on me yet, as I continue to be attracted to sequins and embroidery and lace like some kind of textile magpie.

These three gems from ScrappyKokoStore illustrate this rather perfectly.

Which would you wear?

Feeling Blue

Bralet - PPZ
Bottoms - PPZ

Pretty underwear has become one of 'those things' for me. Browsing through instagram or whilst out shopping, there's something about that delicate embroidery or matching laciness that I'm drawn to. What you wear underneath your outfit can help you feel that bit more put together, something that I need every ounce of help with that I can get.
This PPZ set is in my absolute favourite shade. Just before black, midnight blue retains the same effortless chic that goes with just about everything. Plus, the bralet has sparkles. What's not to like?

OASAP x November

With Christmas being just around the metaphorical corner, November is the month of wishlists. Wishlists for Santa and wishlists stemming from my excessively frivolous spending habits (all those in favour of cheaper cocktails know the struggle).
Here I have selected my recent favourites from Oasap, one of my trusty Aladdin's Cave destinations, where I am always bound to find a few gems, and gems I have found.

Praying this lace up trend lasts forever, I can retain the effortless-flowery-fields-perfume-advert vibes even if I have about six layers over the top.

Six layers of this cardigan preferably. Simple and in my favourite colour palette, what more excuse do I need? (Other than it looks ridiculously cosy.)

Another ode to a lost summer in this shirt, but perfect none the less. Can never have too many stripes, right?

I never knew my love for ponchos would be rekindled, but the flames are once again burning brightly. I am 100% in favour of the boho, Pocohontas look and I feel possessing this piece would allow me to achieve it. 100%.

Which piece would you pick?

Power of love

jumper and shoes - Primark
jeans - Blue Spice
coat and bag - vintage

Hoping all of you pretty people are having a lovely festive season!
Just thought I'd share my '50 shades of Grey' outfit that kept me warm yesterday. A nice change from head to toe black anyway - it is Christmas after all!
