I've got issues with my sleep

bag - VIP

top - VIP

Just a quick post to share two of my new faves from VIP.

Who doesn't want a cute, compact backpack with those colours or a simple silk vest which oozes effortless chic?

I actually picked these pieces in anticipation of my trip to the Big Apple... and now that it's just 4 days away I can BARELY CONTAIN MY EXCITMENT.

Barely.

Have you ever been to NYC?

Spring haul with VIPme

top & skirt - VIPme
shoes - Primark

shirt - VIPme
skirt - Missguided
boots - Gamiss

top - VIPme
jeans - Zaful

I could seriously get used to this four day week thing. Nice to be into the working week without actually working.

Also nice to have parcels of nice things come through the letterbox, especially when they're from VIPme. After being asked to select a few pieces, I decided to add a little colour to my "Spring wardrobe" by picking things out of my usual comfort zone. That said, I did wear an all black ensemble today, ft leather jacket (sitting with my feet up in my comfort zone).

Green jumper and skirt set - Desperately trying to veer out of my grey/black/white work wardrobe, I thought these shades might be a nice change. Forest green has always been a favoured shade for me, and the khaki skirt adds an almost safari edge to the set. Sadly I don't think I'll be off on any African adventures whilst sat at my desk.

Rust shirt - I absolutely adore the colour of this shirt. It goes so well with denims as well as my beloved leather skirts and trousers, the definition of a versatile piece. It's also ideal for going out but not out-out? Dinner or drinks with a necklace and heels: perfect.

Sleep all day t shirt - Could not resist this little gem. I am an avid wearer of slogan t's, and it's even better when they're so apt. The floral design was just the icing on the cake.

Which piece would you wear?

Layer up

coat - VIPme
jacket - Zara
jumper - H&M
jeans - Primark
boots - Lightinthebox
bag - Gamiss

Layering is one of my favourite things about putting outfits together. As well as adding warmth, draping another layer over your shoulders can add texture, colour and interest. I never would have thought these pieces would work together so nicely, but the tones and shapes just seem to compliment each other so well.

Sadly my work wardrobe is rather conservative, but this is a major throwback to my university ootds where I'd chuck trench coats over everything from band t shirts and fisherman knits to roll necks and dappled black jackets. Inevitably would end up shedding about three layers mid way through a seminar, emerging from a coat-like cocoon; but that's fashion right?

Below are a few of my current favourite layering looks from Lookbook, which one is your favourite?

Winter VIPme review

jumper - George
jeans - Zara
coat - VIPme
bag - Gamiss

These photos were taken by the wonderful DK Morris around Liverpool.

Unable to quite believe it's 2017, but here we are. A new year, a new season and a new coat. How perfect that for the colder weather I have been lucky enough to get a piece of clothing that is anything but dull.
I have a thing for coats. Whether the pavements be frosty or drenched in sunlight, I will often reach for my trusty leather jacket or duster, to add that extra layer of interest to an outfit. I have never really had (shock horror) a really nice longline number suitable for the colder months.
Cue VIPme.
A true treasure trove of pieces, with just about everything you could ever wish for. As winter was approaching, I decided to choose a coat, which VIPme were kind enough to send to me.
I wanted something classic, yet with something a little more. Naturally, when I saw this chic camel number with a splash of red adorning the back, I could not resist.
The quality is the thing that surprised me the most. It's lovely and soft, as well as being well put together, something which is often overlooked in this world of fast fashion. And pockets! Actual real pockets which I can put things in.

VIPme have very kindly given me a discount code Georgia485 which can get you $5 off a $50 order. Would also recommend a peek around, as they have some gorgeous things in the sale right now.

Would you wear this coat?

Want to be VIP?

top - VIPme
skirt - VIPme
neckscarf - ebay
boots - Lightinthebox
bag - Primark

I was incredibly pleased when kindly asked to pick something from VIPme. The site is an Aladdin's Cave of unique designers brought together in one place to share their styles. I love scrolling through pages of unique and quirky pieces, looking at things I wouldn't see walking down the high street as well as having the benefit of not needing to leave my house.
This outfit I would wear to an art gallery excursion. A morning of cafe hopping sampling coffee and an afternoon of vintage market shopping along a the banks of the Seine.
The top is in that mesmerising chartreuse colour that is so perfect in any season and equally easy to dress up or down. The denim skirt is something I wouldn't usually opt for but I was pleasantly surprised when I unwrapped it. The dark denim means it fits effortlessly into my wardrobe and I am incredibly happy with it's versatility.

Here are a few of my other VIPme faves:

WFST shorts

Persun T shirt

Leahm Dress

WFST jeans

I also have a handy discount code that'll get you $5 off any order over $50 if you fancy a look around;
