I have seen the future

I was recently asked to have a browse through the glamorous hotels along the Las Vegas strip and invent my ultimate outfit ensemble to accompany my imaginary escapade..

Taking inspiration from the out of this world Flamingo and Golden Nugget hotels, I decided this was perfect. Simple and easy to stroll through the city during the day yet still perfect to pair with heels to enjoy the opulence of the famous glowing strip in the evening. Or just keep these shoes on and become a part of the light display..

I have been wanting this shirt ever since I spied it on the gorgeous Erika's blog. The print is like something out of my dreams and the quality is similarly pleasing..

 I was lucky enough to locate it on Depop for a wonderfully purse friendly £12 - I forsee that my future will be filled with printed shirts a plenty..

Have been lucky enough to have been contacted by various lovely companies recently to review some items and thought I'd share my thoughts on what I received..

First up, Dressin and I opted for a basic white tee and some fierce cat eye sunglasses. I was actually lacking this white staple and thought it would be ideal for this season (whatever that may be at the moment) and have not been disappointed. The neckline is ideal and it's, remarkably, not at all see through so can wear fancy undergarments to my heart's content. 

As for the sunglasses, they are most certainly rivalling my favoured Primark pair. I am sadly not one for expensive specs as I am 100% likely to sit, lose or drop them into the ocean from a fast moving boat - as much I would love a Prada pair. These are most certainly an ideal alternative if you fancy the bargain option whilst maintaining a designer vibe. My favourite combination.

back to the future

This is one of my favourite 'I have nothing to go out in so let's throw something together at random' outfits. 

These grid print beauties are basically the first pair of actual trousers (aside from the rather unflattering school pair) I've owned and I have worn them to death. The quality has really surprised me as well as the fact they go with just about everything. Wanting to go back for a few more prints to extend my patterned legwear collection.

Now of course, yes, I must mention these shoes. I'd seen them on various instagram pages and was obviously desperate to get my hands on some. Why? Because like a moth to a sole-based-colour-changing-light, I found myself needing them for no rational reason. Yes, they do also change colour. I like shiny things

As well as being a major inspiration giver, instagram can often be a major lust risk. Lust in the form of outfits, hair, makeup, travel destinations and jewellery..

Jewellery in the form of Dylan Lex. Honestly I could scroll through that feed for days and still need to see more of it.

I just think it looks so badass. Like I could whip it off and use it as a weapon at any given moment. Unfortunately, given my ~impoverished student~ status, the price tag was sadly somewhat out of my league..

I was however determined to find something that had a similar vibe, so I could at least channel some sort of Dylan Lex inspired look.

Okay, I know I'm not quite meeting the Dylan Lex standards, but how pretty is this necklace? I feel like it could dress up a hospital gown.

Not quite sure where I'm actually going to wear this ensemble just yet, just need to find a boy who owns a motorbike and/or is in a heavy rock band and plays lead guitar and I'll fit right in...
