Change it up

floral top - Chicme
skirt - Missguided
boots - Sammydress
bag - Zara

jumpsuit - Chicme
shoes - eBay
necklace - H&M

dress - Chicme
boots and bag - as before

A little haul of change for me, on this occasion, from the wonderful Chicme.

A lovely plum tone, this elegant wrap top satisfies all of my winter floral cravings. One of those handy pieces that you can wear with both jeans or a leather skirt, enabling me to masquerade as looking put together. That's what I aim for all of my outfits to achieve.

Ok, say this may be one of my favourite pieces of all time. As red has notably become this season's colour, I could not resist indulging, and on a jumpsuit - why the hell not? I can safely say I've never had a trouser suit my leg length as well as this jumpsuit, nor be more comfortable to wear. An all round winner.

This lacy little number claims a close second place. Whilst being delicate and pretty, it still has that perfect gothic edge - ideal for the month ahead. Also that subtle sparkle from those black sequins is the icing on the cake.

Which piece would you wear?

Parisian dressing

There's something about the way the French dress. Effortless yet chic, their style is easy like a Sunday morning yet impossibly sophisticated. A chanel necklace draped over a blue linen button up.

When I make the annual trip across the pond, I like to attempt to emulate said style, tucking into my croissants and coffee looking mildly authentic.

Whilst I can never quite master it, the outfit photos above give you a snippet of my Parisian wardrobe - which one would you wear?

Sammydress Mini Haul

TGIF. For real. I find it upsetting that I'm currently living for the weekend, but I guess it makes me appreciate my Saturdays and Sundays more. Fridays also provide me with an excuse to browse through a shopping site of choice until my heart's content,
The items from this little haul however, were very kindly sent to me from Sammydress; pretty pieces that are slotting into my wardrobe very nicely.

01. I know embroidered everything is everywhere, but I could not resist this little gem. It just gives that classic biker style something different and I am all for twists on classics (aperol in my prosecco - you know the drill.) The hummingbird design is so delicate - I wish I was quite so skilled with a needle and thread.

02. This marshmallow jacket is perfect to adding an extra element of colour or texture to a wintery look. It's super soft but still retains a structured fit, perfect for just throwing on when you need a sugary injection of pink.

03. These shoes have to be the real stars of the haul though. They came through my door on New Year's Eve so I was eager to wrestle open to box and stagger around Liverpool in them. I find this style of heel so much more comfortable, supportive and actually easy to wear for extended periods of dancing. A true new fave.

Which is your favourite piece?

White Christmas

Jumper - StyleWe
Scarf - Sammydress
Coat - H&M
Bag - Gamiss
Heels - Primark

(Is the faux bob still a thing? Regardless, for me it still is very much a thing. Mostly by accident, but that definitely does not matter.)

I've never really been a day dress person, but when that dress is knitted in nature, I can make an exception. This high neck bodycon is quickly becoming a go-to piece.
Keeping true to their name, Stylewe never fail in the style stakes, offering just about everything you could ever want. The knitwear has to be my favourite section however; my layering dreams are always heartily satisfied.

Did everyone enjoy their Christmas (if you celebrate it) and New Years? I was lucky enough to return to beloved Liverpool with one of my favourite people. Prosecco and presents all round.

The velvet underground

T shirt - Sammydress
jeans - Zara
shirt - vintage
shoes - Lightinthebox

I've been stalking a lot of instagram accounts recently (here and here) and have become rather fond of incorporating twists of colour into my (as you are very aware) minimal wardrobe. Retaining crisp lines and geometric shapes but with a brightly coloured collar or stripe.
This t shirt fits into this particular aesthetic ideally. The splash of yellow to the velvet underground design is pop art perfection and pairs so nicely with my fave blue jeans or under a chunky leather jacket. Also, this top is literally the softest t shirt I've worn in my life. For real.

Where do you get your inspiration?

Sammydress me up

Sammydress is an old favourite for me. Like a comfortable stroll around your best loved store, knowing where everything is and always spoilt for choice. So naturally, when I was kindly asked to pick out some summery items, I could certainly not resist a visit.

I've worn this a lot. A lot, a lot. It's material and fit lends itself to being ideal in all temperatures, perfect for the temperamental English summers. I feel like all I need is a headscarf and a red bicycle and I'm set for a sunny afternoon on the French Rivera.

I'm so not over this pink phase. Dusky, rose or marshmallow, if it's pink, I am most certainly in favour. The sugary shade adds a nice injection of colour to my cave like closet, whilst retaining versatility to go with just about everything I own. I am most definitely thinking pink.

Just when I thought I could not possibly need another white printed t shirt, I happened to come across this one and could not resist. Simple, monochrome and it's got a bee on it for goodness sakes, literally (especially if you're partial to a glass of pimms) the epitome of British summer.

Which one would is your favourite?
