gradient nails

I think I've only done one other nail related post which is evidence enough I'm pretty limited in my nail art ability. However, being in love with all things pastel and ombre at the moment and having received much nail polish for Christmas I decided to experiment.

This was the result of
several coats of lilac (a really cheap 99p pot)
carefully sponging a mint shade of Miss Sporty over the top
which I'm pretty content with.

First day back at sixth form wasn't too horrendous as first days back go. Just come to the conclusion I need to get off the internet and do some 'hardcore' revision.
I do have a bit of an obsession with attractive note books and pens however, apparently, my particular method of organising my work is 'rank', as dubbed by my English teacher. I personally don't see what's wrong with shoving all my sheets for a particular subjects into separate plastic wallets..
Although maybe investing in a folder or two wouldn't hurt.

Spent a swift two hours at work today, the majority of which was spent washing up. Still, being paid to do so, can't really complain. Currently watching 'come dine with me' thinking I should definitely be doing work in preparation for tomorrow but suffering from a severe lack of motivation.
Though of course my motivation for internet shopping is completely intact. *sigh* Paypal is simultaneously the best and worst creation ever.

I seriously cannot get enough of the ice cream pastel coloured garments at the moment and so am digging out anything I can find that remotely fits within this sorbet inspired band. All this talk of frozen deserts and I am craving ben and jerry's.

Mhm.

Whilst in town I ventured into TK Maxx with my mother, mainly to escape the rain, but sometimes it's nice to have a rummage. This particular TK Maxx is also quite neatly laid out and was pretty sparse in customers during our visit.
Anyway, I came across this navy dress to which I quite liked and (as it was a pleasing twenty pounds) decided to purchase. Not really sure for what purpose I shall wear it seeing as I don't think I've handed in my prom money in time for a ticket, and I don't tend to spent my weekends at formal occasions.
Ah well, I'm sure with the right accessories I could pass it off as 'casual' and suitable for sixth form. Possibly.

A little spring inspiration

In other news, thinking about doing a giveaway to celebrate the fact I'm just past the 100 follower mark.  I know this sounds like a minuscule figure, but it's still nice to know there's someone reading what you write.

Cannot quite comprehend there is only two days remaining of Easter, it's gone far too swiftly for my liking. I am however, quite pleased with how I've spent it - due to my reduced time online, I've actually ventured outside and seen other human beings. Revision should probably have taken a larger portion of my time, but apart from that.

As evidenced in my choice of clothing and nail colour, I am still very much in love with pastels and am therefore attempting to steer clear when purchasing future items.

I've been social for two nights in a row. Don't know what's happening, it feels so backwards, like an out of body experience.  

Apologies for the lack of posts, my internet is currently down and I'm now at my grandmothers multitasking between this and English coursework. Also spent the first half of the week with my wonderful friend who's a boy and am currently missing a ridiculous amount. Distance is a horrible thing.
