Red, White & Blue (And Black)

top - Shein
jeans - Zara
shoes - Lightinthebox
sunglasses - eBay

shirt dress - Shein
belt - Primark
shoes - eBay

Suit - Topshop (c/o eBay - £12.50!!)

A very quick post on some things I've been coveting recently, which is certainly not easy when the weather seems to change every five minutes.

That said, I have been desperately trying to hold onto the summer dream; which in my mind means paler tones and fresher fabrics - almost always.

Which one would you wear?

Suit up

blazer - Vintage
bodysuit - Boohoo
jeans - H&M
shoes - Primark
earrings - eBay
necklace - Cinco

suit - Topshop c/o Depop
bralet - Boohoo
shoes - Lightinthebox

Blazers are not a new thing for me.

Ever since I can remember, the structured shoulders, the sharp silhouette and not to forget the real life functioning pockets (!!!) have always appealed to me. Even when it was worn on the playground and emblazoned with a bright red logo.

Regardless of the occasion, the simple addition of a blazer draped over anything from a graphic t shirt to a rollneck can make it look like you've made an effort - even when you really haven't.

Take a peek below to see some of my favourite blazer looks:

You're like a brand new person

top - Primark
jacket & boots - ebay
jeans - Levi's
necklace - Topshop

Do your clothes ever go missing? You think you 100% know where that favoured printed t shirt is but after an hour long mid morning hunt and on the brink of sending out a search party, you realise you're going to have to resort to the (often non existent) back up plan. This tragic tale is an autobiographical one; the protagonist my beloved high waisted skinny jeans.
So whilst I waited for them to find their way back to my wardrobe, I decided to scour ebay for another pair that would fit in the alarmingly large gap they left in my dark denim filled life.
I have to say I am yet to look back.

For everyone celebrating Easter, I hope yours is going as wonderfully as mine is i.e. minimal work, excessive sugar and cocktails.

Fake Empire

sweater - She Inside
jeans - Blue Spice
boots - Zara
bag - Primark
hat - Missguided
rings - Topshop

Unfortunately I was somewhat delayed in getting my hands on any of the H&M x Wang collection (namely that cropped sweater). I remember sitting in a criminal lecture, the girl's laptop in front of me filled with the H&M checkout screen and the slight sinking feeling that I'd have to try and convince some ebay seller of my impoverished student status.
So when I was kindly contacted by She Inside to pick something out, I couldn't help but choose this piece. I am surprisingly loving the neoprene material and the slightly cropped fit, with the shade fitting seamlessly into my somewhat greyscale wardrobe.

Some of my fave inspirational images of recent, beginning to transition into S/S mindset..

I was too busy falling for you

top - H&M
jeans - Primark
wedges - Tesco
hat - Reiss
necklace - Topshop

Currently life is consisting of "getting ready for uni" which has largely involved working out what I'm going to take, trying to sort out my student finance and streaming american sitcoms.

I bought this hat yesterday in TK Maxx reduced from £55 to £17.. but it was bought on a bit of a whim and am probably going to return it as I hadn't realised quite how wide the brim was:( I have instead however, dug out a dusty fedora formerly belonging to my dad which I can hide behind instead.

I also went to see 'About Time' on Thursday with my mum. It's directed by Richard Curtis who directed 'Four Weddings and a Funeral' (which is one of my all time favourites) so expectations were high and it certainly did not disappoint. It sort of made me feel nostalgic and sad and happy at the same time, all in all, I 100% recommend a watch:)

What with the quality of my phone camera having drastically deteriorated, I decided to take a disposable camera with me on holiday this year, mainly to get some snaps of Disney.. which although my mum described them as 'not worth the £6' paid to get them developed, they seem to capture the mood of the holiday quite well:

Now for some slightly better quality pictures, I can always rely on weheartit to provide ample amounts of inspiration:
